Petra Klingler takes first place at the IFSC Bouldering World Championships 2016

This year’s IFSC Bouldering World Championships 2016 came to an impressive finale with Petra Klingler taking 1st place. This year’s final was held in Paris, France and Petra clinched the win with a top out on W4 – only Miho Nonaka of Japan also completing the route.

Petra Klingler is from Bonstetten in Switzerland and previously took 4th place overall at the IFSC Bouldering World Cup in 2015. Her titles include multiple wins at the Swiss Bouldering Championships, 3rd place at the Adidas Rockstars 2014, as well as a trophy cabinet full of Ice Climbing medals.

Petra is 24 years of age has been climbing since the age of 6, having come from a family of climbers stretching back generations. Her power and determination are what make her stand out from the crowd, and looking at the highlights of this year’s championships it’s clear to see that Petra is at the top of her game right now.
